Welcome to the website of Sigma Kappa at Kansas State University! The Theta Tau Chapter is looking forward to a bright future for our Chapter and its members. We are so proud to be a part of the wonderful Greek Community at Kansas State University.
Sigma Kappa was founded 141 years ago in Maine, and has 233 collegiate and alumnae chapters across the U.S. and the globe. Our chapter, founded in 1990, has a membership of 140 strong dedicated women. Sigma Kappa’s enjoy sharing their time and talents with the Manhattan community and do so through various chapter- organized philanthropic events throughout the year. Members also donate time and talents to local organizations, while developing themselves scholastically, socially, and spiritually.
The purpose of Sigma Kappa is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities. Sigma Kappa Sorority is a social organization of collegiate and alumnae women committed to promoting the ideals of life-long friendship, intellectual and spiritual fulfillment, and service for the greater good. Sigma Kappa members follow four standards that guide them throughout their life: Loyalty, Friendship, Service, and Personal Growth.
We invite you to browse our site and hopefully catch a glimpse of what it looks like to be a Sigma Kappa at Kansas State University!

Though many of us associate the benefits of sorority membership with the college years, Sigma Kappa is a lifelong influence on its members. Besides offering support, encouragement, and an atmosphere that promotes success and well-being, Sigma Kappa creates opportunities for women to become part of a worldwide sisterhood of successful, caring women.
